The Community Projects for Dreamscapes aspire to engage their participants in uniquely personal ways with the experiences of recalling, reflecting, and realizing one's dreams through a variety of creative acts, including journaling, book arts, and other forms of expression. A lone dreamer connects with fellow dreamers through journaling, while youth of all ages explore their dreams for the future and the dreams that others hold for them. These projects highlight how creative expression can unlock and focus the potential in all of us.

The Dream Journal Project
The Dream Journal Project is an invitation to Dreamscapes visitors to further explore the process of dreaming. As dreamers journal their dreams, stories and themes emerge from the subconscious that can act as a muse or guide to daily life. The journaling is done through the artistic medium of the dreamer’s choice. Dreamers receive monthly prompts to inspire their journaling and have opportunities throughout the exhibition to share their entries with one another.

Blueprint for a Dream
Blueprint for a Dream (Blueprint) is a collaborative program with Beyond Housing, a local agency that provides support and services for families growing into their long-term goals. Blueprint works with two existing programs at Beyond Housing, Freedom School and Viking Advantage. Freedom School is a summer program offered through the Pagedale Family Support Center. Viking Advantage is an Individual Development Account (IDA) or match-savings program offered to high school students within the Normandy School District.
Both Freedom School and Viking Advantage are designed to inspire school-aged youth to establish and achieve life goals and dreams. Blueprint for a Dream works with students within these two Beyond Housing programs by introducing creative expression into the goal-setting process. Students explore creative writing, performance, and visual art as a means of articulating, processing, and expressing their life goals and dreams.
